Colleges and Universities with a Major in Education
A talent in education and teaching requires patience, being detail oriented and having an approachable yet instructive attitude. There are many sub-categories that one would have to consider in an education degree. Depending on your preference, you could focus on teaching early childhood, elementary, instructional, music, secondary, or special education. Each group would require different areas of focus and different mindsets on what to expect. Expect to learn how to manage a classroom, help many different demographics of students and how to inspire through teaching.

Education majors should be interested in having a positive effect on the next generation. They should be creative in their teaching styles and be able to easily explain difficult concepts and problems to their students. Being good around adolescents and teens and having a caring heart are also important qualities of an education major.

Secondary Education – Secondary Education mainly refers to 6-12 grades. From here on, the education that one would teach would be more specialized. Subjects would include geography, math, science, gym and many others. They will need to ensure that all their information is up to date and deal with teenagers. Secondary Educator will also need to attain certification from the state to teach.

College and University Education – College and University Educators will also need to be more and more specialized. Since there are an abundance of very detailed and specific courses, a educator would need to be an expert on their subject. This almost certainly mean that a teacher would need a PHD and still exhibit teaching characteristics. One will need to answer the questions and encourage critical thinking in mature students.
